My Happy Place

I've been sad these last couple of days. Living with people who have mood swings so intense can affect me. Yesterday, I couldn't stand the idea of going back to the house. All I could think of was, I hate these people! I don't want to be here! The question is, where do I want to be?

Thinking of my happy place, like literal place, I realize now that there are basically only 3 places. Make it four if you count the mall but right now, that's not part of the list. My first stop was Target. Early morning, when the store just opened, it's a great place to be. I can browse in relative peace and quiet. I did end up on a hunt. I walked in thinking I was looking for gloves but instead spent most of my time looking for socks. My Target app has a monthly freebie that comes with my Target Circle 360 subscription and one of the choices this month was for Champion socks. But, like every month, everyday really, you have to be careful because the coupon only applies to specific ones. Unfortunately, it did not seem like the Target store I was in had any of it. I grabbed the groceries needed and went home. But I didn't really want to be home. I put the groceries away, did one load of laundry, practiced (yeah, this is on my schedule) and then I left again. I was hungry and headed for the Biscuit Lady but it was already closed when I got there so I drove to the Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting. I had intended to go to Guitar Center (current happy place number 2) but they don't have food there so I ended up at another Target. This was fine because I was still looking for socks and gloves.

Funny story, I asked a Target team member where I could find the men's socks and I spied some random guy listening very closely to her answer and then make a beeline for the socks! OMG, is he going to get the last Champion All-Sport 3 pack? But as he was much closer to the socks section, I had no chance of getting there first. I get there and he's already browsing <sad face>  I go to the next aisle but I couldn't resist, after a few minutes, I went over to him and asked him outright, was he also looking for Champion socks? He then tells me that he was about to ask the Target lady where the socks were when he heard that I was doing the same. Uh huh. He also offered to let me know if he found the Champion socks. Ok. He did this but they were not All Sport so thanks anyway. I ended up going back to a Target team member to ask specifically when aisle whatever was. It turns out, the socks I wanted were actually in Sporting Goods, where Champion had their own aisle. Victory is mine!

Today, I had to go to the supermarket because there are things I can only get at Wegmans. When I walked in, I immediately started bobbing my head to the music. I swear, their programming is pretty awesome. And I guess as the age group falling dead center of their entire market, it would make sense that they would play things I would like. My happy place, where the music is always great! Food shopping just got 100 times more enjoyable. But was I the only one who appreciated the music? Apparently not, as I walked by, the cheese ladies were literally singing along, doing a little dance. They were loving it. I was almost sad to leave.
