three beads on a stick
My husband has been on a real "clean the house" streak. He bought a new stick vac but has also been using the old steam mop a little bit more. I went out to Target to pick up some hearing aids for his dad and while I was away, I guess he found another part of the house to mop. I can't complain. I'm just not a mop kind of person. But when I got back home, he said he found some beads and he placed them in the bathroom vanity. Hmmm... what was it again? "Three beads on a stick." That's what he said. The vision it conjured in my mind was dango. He really is great at finding lost things but I can't recall any time where I lost anything that resembled dango. Earrings? A bracelet? None of that would look like dango. So I ran up to the bathroom to see for myself and found this.
I would describe this as pearl beads on wire. Clearly not dango. And every time I think about his description, I just can't help but laugh a little. Well, I did say he's great at finding lost items, but maybe not so great at describing them unless what you've lost is a car, then he would be the one to ask. These fell off an old headpiece. I removed the little combs used to adhere it to hair and I thought only one of these tiny stems fell off but apparently there was another one. It's all sorted out now. He was very sad though, as he told me that the steam mop was falling apart. This is the perfect time to search for a new one though as there are still things on sale this week.
Delivery people are working overtime. I literally got one delivery by Lasership at almost 11PM the other day. They're still out there delivering packages. Hopefully not on weekends although I did receive another package this afternoon. It's nuts. I feel bad when I order several items and they ship them out one at a time. Since they come from different places, it makes sense but it really is so wasteful. One time, I ordered two-pocket folders. I only did it because they had run out of them at the store in certain colors. But goodness me, they shipped some of them in a box large enough for my size 11 shoes. One folder. And it made me look like a total shopping monster because these boxes would arrive everyday for days. My husband kept asking, what did you order? 7 folders and 2 dozen pencils, I think. I don't mind running to the store to buy things and most of the time, I prefer it. Sadly, they don't always have what we want. I almost feel bad ordering those sweaters in 4 sizes earlier this week <sigh> Look what online shopping has done to us.
