The Diner

My husband loves a good diner. He's convinced that it's a dying breed of restaurant and we need to keep these diners alive. One of the first few places he'd taken me to was Ray's, which I think is now closed. I don't really remember much about the food or the way the place looked. Most diners are kind of similar to me and I'm a lot less nostalgic about the idea. But he's always wanting to try out a new diner so we headed down to Springfield to try another one of these places. Well, really we were going to the Target over there in search of these elusive pajama pants which are now on sale but also unavailable in the Target stores near us. But we also have to feed our children so that is what we did.

Everyone ordered breakfast selections. Some people ordered two things. It was a lot of food and it was all eaten. The place was alright but it did feel significantly different from restaurants closer to us. My husband thinks, well, that's Delaware County for you.

We were watching Task last week. Great show. Looking forward to the next season. I recall the actors being interviewed on the Today show, one of them talked about having to learn the accent. I realize now it's probably because the actors on the show are mostly not even American but they have to convince us all that they're native Delco. Well, they did a good job.
