favorite song

My family seems to think that Like A Prayer by Madonna is my favorite song. I heard it on the radio this morning. That's what made me think about it. When the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine came out, I was sold. I also love Hugh Jackman. Strangely, I thought that he just had a cameo when I first heard that they were making another Deadpool movie. When I realized that it was truly Wolverine in the film, I had to see it. I did enjoy the Deadpool movies. I didn't think I would but I did. Using Like A Prayer? Genius. 

So what is my favorite song? I guess if I had to pick just one, I would say Jason Mraz's The Remedy. It has all the elements of fun and creative and it has this one line that gets me every time. "When I fall in love, I take my time. There's no need to hurry when I'm making up my mind. You can turn off the sun, but I'm still gonna shine... " yeah, I just love that. And after all the wrong guesses, I let them listen to that song and my husband was like, "That's it?" So disappointing. They don't get it. Like A Prayer, on the other hand, that's for karaoke hahaha. I like it for the drama in the beginning. 

Another favorite? Unwell by Matchbox Twenty. I realize that I really like Rob Thomas as a songwriter. He knows how to please and he has a lot of songs that I would love to sing. Unwell was so uncannily suited to his voice though and it resonated with me for its honesty. When I used to do a morning show, my partner and I would do a year end countdown of our favorites from the year and I remember that year it was no contest, we both picked Unwell as number one. We love buying the latest CDs. He bought John Mayer's Room for Squares when it came out but I wasn't totally sold on it but when Jason Mraz's Waiting for My Rocket to Come was released, I ran to go get it. So we didn't always agree but with Matchbox Twenty, we found common ground. Or maybe it was just that song.

Favorite Cereal: Frosted Flakes and Honey Nut Cheerios. But if I could only have one... well, Frosted Flakes came first so I'll still go with that. Truthfully though, I'm not a big cereal person. I grew up where we had rice meals even for breakfast. Rice, egg and corned beef. Yeah, that would hit the spot. But sometimes I feel like cereal. Maybe tomorrow.
