also unexpected

A few days into this new schedule and I'm definitely rethinking it. Perhaps it's not fair to expect to be able to write something everyday. But I just finished watching two movies with my husband and I want to go to bed now. I guess I can keep it brief.

First, happy to note that my poinsettia dreams can come true. The unexpected part was that I got one from Wegmans. It's a small pot and fits right in this decorative pot I got from Ikea years ago. I am so happy with it. I've put away the fall candles and set the pot on the little side table next to the sofa. If I keep it indoors, I should be able to maintain the temperature that it likes, which according to the instructions is 60-70 degrees.

Also unexpected, as I was looking up the complete song title and artist info of a certain song, other versions of it came up and there it was... Charice. Further down... Aiza Seguerra. So, I had to listen. The beautiful crystal clear voices, like little pop angels singing covers of English songs. Although I feel a disconnect between the song selections and the artist. A lot of the songs seem too old maybe? I definitely sensed an identity crisis in the music, seeming like someone else was doing the picking for them. Were they forced to make these records the way someone else wanted? Did they have a hand in choosing their songs at all? Where are they now? Of course, a quick search on Wiki revealed that what they have in common is that they are both now going through life as transgender men. Charice goes by Jake and Aiza is Ice. I can only imagine that they also both sound different now. I hope that for the two of them, they found happiness in the gender change. While it probably doesn't compare, I found happiness in a plant.

Playlist Recommendation: Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Tears for Fears
