shopping season
Black Friday... ah yes, shopping season has begun. Living within walking distance to King of Prussia Mall has its perks. If we wanted to walk there, we absolutely could. Today would have been a great day to do that. But we did not. Instead, we drove there to have lunch and promptly ditched all plans of shopping because the crowd. Far cry from one week ago when it looked like this.
But it's ok. We're pros. We know where to go to find parking. We know to pre-order food on the app. The long line to order at Shake Shack would have had us turning back but the deal on the app? Between the $10 burgers (2 patties!), $3 fries, $5 milkshakes and finally the $1 soda, we were sold. Amex offer? Sure, count me in. However, getting out of the mall was another story. One wrong turn was all it took and even us pros spent precious minutes stuck in traffic while still inside the parking area.
I did manage to pick up some wreaths at Target at 40% off. The front door will look fresh this year, even without those poinsettias that I'd been dreaming of. I also ordered some fingerboard positioning tape (for the viola), another guitar tuner and a hard case. Between the three guitars here, it should fit at least one, if not all of them. I was annoyed that they cost so much but at this rate, anything under $100 was worth looking at. When I had my classic guitar in the Philippines, I had a hard case for it and I don't remember the entire lot costing an arm and a leg. The guy I sold it to was thrilled that it had a case. I remember though that it had a smell that always annoyed me. Probably adhesive. But it was a good case and didn't break the bank.
I don't know what else I might shop for the rest of the night or the week. The Old Navy order arrived. I got some matching t-shirts for the whole family for Christmas and Chinese New Year. We will be rocking Hello Kitty. I can't wait!
